attachmentAV for Salesforce: Debug

When things go wrong, gathering information to analyze and solve the issue is crucial.

Analyze debug logs (#)

The following steps guide you through capturing debug logs for attachmentAV.

The following procedure works to capture debug logs for realtime scanning and scheduled full scans. It does not work for full scans triggered manually.

First, open the Salesforce Console and go to Setup.

From the navigation bar on the left-hand side, choose EnvironmentsLogsDebug Logs.

Then, press the New button located above the User Trace Flags table.

Fill out the New Trace Flag form as follows.

  • Traced Entity Type: User
  • Traced Entity Name: Choose the integration user created during the setup of attachmentAV.
  • Start Date: 00:00 today
  • End Date: 00:00 tomorrow

Next, press the New Debug Level button.

Type in attachmentAV_Debug_Logs into the Name field.

Select the highest available Level for all categories (see screenshot).

Then, press the Save button.

Next, ensure that attachmentAV_Debug_Level is selected as Debug Level.

Finally, press the Save button.

The User Trace Flags table shows an entry for the integration user. Collecting debug logs for attachmentAV is active.

As soon as attachmentAV scans new attachments, you will see entries in the Debug Logs tables.

Open or download the logs.

Grant Login Access (#)

Sometimes the fastest way to get help is to grant us login access to your Salesforce organization.

Open the Salesforce Console. Click on your user’s icon on the top and press the Settings link.

Select Grant Login Access from the navigation bar on the left-hand side. Search for widdix GmbH Support and grant access for a period of your choice. Click the Save button.
