Virus and Malware Scan API (Self-hosted on AWS)

Overview (#)

Deploy a Virus and Malware Scan API on Amazon Web Services (AWS) with ease. We provide Infrastructure as Code templates to deploy a production-ready solution to your AWS account. By doing so, you are in full control of the data processing, your data does not leave your AWS account.

The highly available, secure, and cost-effective architecture consists of the following building blocks:

  • VPC (optional) deploys a pre-configured and isolated network.
  • Application Load Balancer receives HTTPS requests from clients and forwards them to a fleet of EC2 instances.
  • Auto Scaling Group launches and terminates EC2 instances depending on the workload within the boundaries that you define.
  • EC2 instances launch from our AMI with attachmentAV pre-installed and configured.
  • CloudWatch alarms and dashboards provide insights into the operational state of attachmentAV and inform you of issues that require human interaction.
  • IAM roles with policies following the least-privilege principle granting attachmentAV access to the necessary resources in your AWS account (e.g., fetching objects from S3).

Networking (#)

attachmentAV for Virus and Malware Scan API comes with two networking options:

  • Public VPC deploy attachmentAV into a pre-configured VPC. The ALB and the EC2 instances are running in a public subnet for minimal networking costs. Of course, security groups are used to control incoming traffic. attachmentAV - Public VPC
  • Bring Your Own VPC deploy attachmentAV into an existing VPC. Choose whether you want to place the ALB and the EC2 instances in a public or private subnet. attachmentAV - Bring Your Own VPC
