How quickly are files deleted? (#)

We delete the file immediately after the scan. No matter if the scan was successful or not.

What scan metadata is stored? (#)

• When using the sync response mode, no metadata is stored.
• When using the async response mode:
  • with a callback_url: no metadata is stored.
  • without a callback_url: the scan result (status, finding, size, realfiletype) is stored for 24 hours for your retrieval via GET /v1/scan/async/result.

Are my files shared with Sophos (or any other 3rd party)? (#)

The content of your files is never shared with Sophos (or any other 3rd party).

Hashes (not the content!) of your files might be checked remotely against Sophos SXL. File hashes do not contain any personal or sensitive data.

Can I scan Sensitive personal information (SPI) or special category data? (#)

Yes, files containing sensitive personal information are permitted.
